The Binge Reader's Survival Guide: Before You Start
Think of this as your pre-flight checklist. You wouldn't board a 14-hour flight without snacks, headphones, and a neck pillow. This is the same energy.
Clear your calendar.
Not "I'll squeeze in a chapter between meetings." CLEAR. YOUR. CALENDAR. Block the weekend. Request the PTO. Tell your people you're unavailable. You're not being antisocial. You're being responsible about your reading commitments.
Charge everything.
Your phone. Your tablet. Your e-reader. Your laptop. Your backup device. All of it. Because nothing is worse than being mid-scene when he's about to say the thing and your battery dies. That's not a cliffhanger. That's a crime.
Stock the supplies.
Your drink of choice (Prosecco preferred but no judgment). Snacks that don't require two hands. A blanket. Good lighting. Comfortable everything. You're building a nest and you're not leaving it until Allegra and Nick get their HEA.
Set the out of office.

What Happens During the Binge (A Field Report)
Consider this your stage-by-stage breakdown of what's about to happen to you. Medically accurate. Mostly.
Stage 1: "I'll just read a few chapters."
You won't. We both know you won't. But the optimism is cute. Settle in. Meet Allegra. Meet Nick. Watch her literally fall into his arms and think "oh no" because you already know. You already KNOW.
A few chapters becomes half the book. Half the book becomes the whole book. The whole book becomes "well I can't NOT start Surrender right now."
